Ada -En esta casa vivieron tres hermanos- group exhibition Espacio Valverde-Madrid-2008

Ada is a project created especially for the gallery space, within the framework of a group exhibition about memory. It continues in my line of research about the relationship between paintings and costumes.
As the gallery space looks like a home, the Ada project invites viewers to play with the sensation of returning, after a long absence, to a childhood house.
A large nine metres long drawing, fixed on walls as a kind of wallpaper, presents the fragile figures of beings (parents, children, relatives) in a violent chiaroscuro. The faces seem to disappear in the shadow or into a very bright light. As an old and burnt photography, this drawn fresco aims to restore in a walk through the space, fragmented and missing pieces
of our memory. Moreover the transparent hung dress, apparently more physical but ghost-like in aspect emphasizes this never-ending memory.
